Shurijo Castle Restoration Festival & Ryukyu Dynasty Emaki Parade

The festival brings the Golden Age of the Ryukyu Kingdom back to life across the grounds of Shurijo Castle. Highlighting the diplomatic and regal splendor of the era, more than 700 participants dressed in authentic royal garments march through central Naha in the Ryukyu Dynasty Emaki Parade, accompanied by classical court music (Uta-sanshin) and traditional dances.
