Okinawa Zento Eisa Festival

Over 300,000 spectators gather to witness the thunderous rhythm of Okinawan Eisa. The festival opens with street parades (Michijune) in Koza, followed by stadium competitions where youth groups in traditional garb perform synchronized taiko drumming, sanshin playing, and energetic folk dances.

Where does it come from?

-Over 1,000 drummers and dancers performing simultaneously in the main arena. -Reserved stadium seating and VIP viewing boxes available for purchase. -Mass celebratory finale dance (Kachashi) involving performers and stadium audiences.
