Comic Market 109 (Comiket 109 – Winter): Experience the World's Largest Celebration of Doujinshi, Cosplay & Creative Fan Culture
For more than four decades, Comic Market, affectionately known as Comiket, has been the world's largest gathering dedicated to independent manga, fan creativity, and Japanese pop culture. Founded in 1975, Comiket provides a unique platform where thousands of independent artists (circles) showcase and sell original works, fan-created manga (doujinshi), novels, illustrations, music, games, and creative projects directly to visitors. The event embodies Japan's vibrant fan culture, fostering creativity, collaboration, and artistic freedom. Across the expansive halls of Tokyo Big Sight, attendees can browse tens of thousands of creator booths featuring everything from beautifully illustrated comics and collectible art books to handcrafted accessories and original merchandise. Many creators release exclusive editions available only during the event, making Comiket a must-visit destination for collectors.
