About this item

Description

Handcrafted in Okinawa, Japan, the Silver Stardust Fine Art Vase celebrates the artistry of Ryukyu glass, a distinctive craft that emerged after World War II when local artisans transformed reclaimed glass into a unique artistic tradition. Today, Ryukyu glass is one of Okinawa's most recognized cultural crafts.

Unique Piece Notice: This item is an authenticated, one-of-a-kind work of art individually handcrafted in Japan. Once sold, this exact piece cannot be duplicated.

Heritage

Created at Ryukyu Glass Village, this vase reflects generations of Okinawan glassmaking. The collection honors the legacy of master artisan Sueyoshi Kiyoichi, the first Okinawan glassmaker to receive Japan's prestigious Contemporary Master Craftsman (Gendai no Meiko) designation. His work helped shape modern Ryukyu glass and has been featured at national events, including the G8 Kyushu–Okinawa Summit.

Design

Inspired by a starlit sky above the Okinawan sea, the vase combines a deep black glass body with subtle amber, green, and earth-toned accents. Fine silver foil is layered throughout the surface, creating a shimmering, textured finish that changes beautifully with the light.

Each vase is individually hand-blown into an elegant sculptural form. Natural variations in color, pattern, and shape make every piece one of a kind.
