About this item

Description

Handcrafted in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, the Toki no Hana (Flower of Time) Fine Art Vessel is a contemporary expression of Japanese studio glass. Created by glass artist Sasaki Shunji at S glass studio, each vessel reflects the harmony of traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern glassmaking.

Unique Piece Notice: This item is an authenticated, one-of-a-kind work of art individually handcrafted in Japan. Once sold, this exact piece cannot be duplicated.

Artist & Inspiration

Founded in 2019, S glass studio is the creative workshop of Sasaki Shunji, whose work explores the relationship between light, memory, and craftsmanship. Toki no Hana is inspired by a vintage obi (kimono sash) discovered among his grandmother's belongings. Its elegant textile patterns became the foundation for a series that preserves the beauty of traditional Japanese design within hand-blown glass.

Design

Available in deep cobalt blue or soft coral red, each vessel features radiating white optic patterns that bloom from the center like a flower. A satin-frost exterior gently diffuses light, while the polished interior reveals remarkable depth and clarity.

Every piece is individually hand-blown and engraved on the base with the artist's signature. Natural variations in shape and pattern make each vessel one of a kind.
