Description
Inspired by the glassmaking tradition of the Ryukyu Islands, the Amber Nebula Fine Art Vase is a handcrafted work of art created in Okinawa, Japan. Ryukyu glass emerged after World War II, when local artisans transformed reclaimed glass into a distinctive craft that has since become one of Okinawa's most celebrated art forms.
Unique Piece Notice: This item is an authenticated, one-of-a-kind work of art individually handcrafted in Japan. Once sold, this exact piece cannot be duplicated.
Heritage
Produced at Ryukyu Glass Village, this piece reflects generations of Okinawan glassmaking. The collection honors the legacy of master artisan Sueyoshi Kiyoichi, a recipient of Japan's prestigious Contemporary Master Craftsman (Gendai no Meiko) designation. His work helped shape modern Ryukyu glass and has been recognized at national events, including the G8 Kyushu–Okinawa Summit.
Design & Craftsmanship
Hand-blown by skilled artisans, the vase features a rich amber-red base layered with flowing shades of cobalt blue, golden yellow, and warm orange. Delicate gold foil is suspended within the glass, creating a shimmering, star-like effect that changes beautifully with the light.
Because every piece is individually crafted, slight variations in color, pattern, and form are a natural part of its character.
