Description
Handcrafted in the lush Yanbaru region of northern Okinawa, the Akane no Nami (Coral Reef Wave) Tumbler is a contemporary expression of Ryukyu glass. Created at Glass Art Ai, each piece reflects the island's coral reefs, subtropical light, and coastal landscapes through modern Japanese glass artistry.
Unique Piece Notice: This item is an authenticated, one-of-a-kind work of art individually handcrafted in Japan. Once sold, this exact piece cannot be duplicated.
Heritage & Craftsmanship
Produced by Glass Art Ai, this hand-blown tumbler celebrates Okinawa's renowned glassmaking tradition. Inspired by the natural beauty of Yanbaru, the studio transforms molten glass into distinctive works that capture the colors and textures of the Ryukyu Islands.
Design
A soft satin-frost finish across the upper body evokes sea mist drifting above the ocean, while the lower half features an intricate network of warm coral-orange and golden-yellow glass inspired by Okinawa's living coral reefs. The polished interior enhances the depth and brilliance of the colors as they catch the light.
Each tumbler is individually hand-blown, resulting in natural variations in shape, pattern, and color that make every piece unique.
